The online version of the interactive
CD "Map of Clandestine Detention Centers"
is now available. This project was carried out by the
Topography of Memory Program and contains information
about 200 centers that operated in the Republic of Argentina
during the last military dictatorship.
This project is a cartographic approach
to the military zones and sub-zones with the names,
locations, dependences and periods of operation of the
different centers. The project also includes some audiovisual
testimonies related to the subject matter.
In later stages the project will
include a cartographic approach to the areas with
the greatest density of centers until the totality
of the 560 Clandestine Detention Centers that operated
during the period of state Terrorism are covered.
The project will also include photographic images
of some of them.
