How can I get the materials produced by Memoria Abierta?

The Archives gathered and preserved by Memoria Abierta allow the design and creation of materials with educative and massive diffusion aims.

The resources available are:

Where can I find information on the files and documents related to the recent past of Argentina?

Through our Website, you can access a catalogue that includes a description of the different resources that make up the documentary heritage of Memoria Abierta and the Human Rights Organizations that conform it.
The catalogue is constantly being updated and contains:

• Documents on the State terrorism.
• Information, documents, testimonies and other sources about the historic places related to the State terrorism.
• Documents included on the institutional files of the organizations that make up Memoria Abierta (letters, consultations, communications).

Memoria Abierta has also developed the Human Rights Archives Census that assembles information on the archives in this region holding documents relating to human rights violations that took place during military dictatorships.


Can I consult the archives of Memoria Abierta?

Memoria Abierta works to facilitate the access of the information associated to State terrorism. For that reason, we open our doors to those who are interested in consulting the existing archives within our organization. In order to assure you will be received, as you deserve, we ask you to arrange your visits ahead of time. This can be done by phone (54-11) 4951-3559/4870 or by mail contacto@memoriaabierta.org.ar. Our public consultation hour is from Monday to Thursday from 10 to 19hs, and Fridays from 10 to 15hs.

Can I contribute to Memoria Abierta’s documentary heritage?

Memoria Abierta receives and stimulates donations of legacies, documents and personal archives of high historical value, which are organized and made available for public consultation. Contact us by phone (54-11) 4951-3559/4870 or by mail contacto@memoriaabierta.org.ar.

Can I contribute my testimony?

Memoria Abierta counts with a team of professionals that is prepared to take contact with all those people whose experience can track acts of the repression related to the State terrorism and that would be willing to offer their testimony. Can I collaborate with Memoria Abierta’s work?

Memoria Abierta counts on the voluntary contribution of people that destine a number of weekly hours to develop different tasks linked to our mission. We also count on monetary as well as in-kind collaborations.
