Adriana Friszman
Adriana Friszman was a militant in the years preceding the coup of 1976. She was illegally detained in the clandestine detention centers of the Navy Mechanics School (ESMA) and the “Club Atlético” between May 29th and July 29th of 1977. Her sister, Nora Débora Friszman, is disappeared since December 2nd of 1976. Adriana lives in Brazil where she is a university professor.

Alejandro Vassallo
Alejandro Vasallo is 43. On the 29th of May, 1977, he was kidnapped from his house in Haedo in the province of Buenos Aires, alongside his mother, and his 9 year old brother. He was detained as one of the disappeared in the CCD Escuela de Mec�nica de la Armada (ESMA) for three weeks.

Alfredo Ayala
Alfredo is 53 years old. Since 1973 he had been a social and political militant. On the 7th of September 1977 he was kidnapped. He was de-tained as a 'disappeared person' in the CCD Escuela de Mec�nica de la Armada (ESMA) until November of 1979. Finally freed under the condition that he would work without pay in a business owned by an Armada official, in February 1980 he was kidnapped once again. In May of the same year he managed to escape from 'El Silencio', and island in the Tigre delta.

Ana María Cacabelos
Ana María saw her family pulled apart in the year 1976: after the disappearance of her brother José Antonio on June 7th of 1976, and the disappearance and murder of her sister María Esperanza Cacabelos -and María Esperanza’s husband, Edgardo Salcedo, on July 6th of 1976, Ana María was disappeared along with her younger sister, María Ceclia, on October 11th of 1976 and both of them were taken to the clandestine detention centre that operated in the Navy Mechanics School (ESMA). María Cecilia remains disappeared, as does José Antonio. Ana María is a public employee and mother of two daughters.

Cristina Inés Aldini
Cristina was a militant of social and political groups. She was disappeared in the clandestine detention center of the ESMA from December 5th of 1978 until December of 1979. Her husband is disappeared.

Dalmiro S�enz
Dalmiro is 80 years old. He was a militant with the Monteneros since the organization be-gan. In the middle of 1978, Dalmiro was kidnapped. He was detained in the CCD Escuela de Mec�nica de la Armada (ESMA) for around four weeks before being freed.

Elisa Tokar
Elisa campaigned in various social sectors and political groups. She was disappeared on September 21st of 1977 in Olivos, Province of Buenos Aires, and remained detained-disappeared in the clandestine detention centre that operated in the Navy Mechanics School until 1979 at which time she was released on probation.

Enrique Mario Fukman
Enrique was a militant with Montoneros. On November 18th of 1978, Enrique was disappeared and detained in the clandestine detention centre of the Navy Mechanics School (ESMA) until February 18th of 1980. His brother, also a militant, died in a confrontation in 1977. Enrique is a high school teacher and labour secretary in the Confederation of Education Workers of the Republic of Argentina (CTERA).

H�ctor Vassallo
H�ctor Vassallo is 74 years old. He was an ERP militant and later, with the Monteneros in the city of C�rdoba, a logistics and military advisor responsable for the organisation�s na-tional security. He and his entire family were kidnapped from their house in Haedo (Bue-nos Aires province) on the 29th of May 1977. He remained a detainee in the CCD Escuela de Mec�nica de la Armada (ESMA) until the end of 1979.

José Orlando Miño
José was a militant with the University Peronist Youth (JUP) in the Universidad del Nordeste. On November 13th he was disappeared and taken to the clandestine detention centre of the Navy Mechanics School (ESMA), where he remained disappeared until March 24th of the following year. José is an architect.

Julio Vasallo
Julio Vasallo is 39 years old. The 29 of May of 1977 his father was kidnapped and taken to the clandestine detention center located at the Mechanics school of the Navy (ESMA). A few minutes later, Julio was also kidnapped from his home in the locality of Haedo (province of Buenos Aires) along with his mother and his brother Alejandro. He remained disappeared around three weeks until he was released.

Leonardo Mart�nez
Leonardo Martínez is 52. In 1973 he became a militant social and political. He was kidnapped on the 18th of September 1977, and detained in the CCD Es-cuela de Mec�nica de la Armada (ESMA) until July 1980.

Liliana Gardella
Liliana Gardella is an anthropologist. She was a militant political. Her husband was murdered in November of 1976. On November 25th of 1977 she was disappeared and detained at the Naval Base of Mar del Plata city. In December of 1977 she was transferred to ESMA and held there until 1979. She was in exile in Italy from 1979 until 1984.

Mario Cesar Villani
Mario Villani was a militant in labour-union groups and militant political after the coup of March 24th of 1976. He was disappeared November 18th of 1977 and remained disappeared until August of 1981. During his long period of captivity he passed through the clandestine detention centers of El Atlético, El Banco, El Olimpo, Malvinas (located in the city of Quilmes in the Province of Buenos Aires) and the ESMA. Once he was released and after the return to democracy, he gave his testimony in national and international legal cases.

Miriam Lewin
Miriam Lewin is a journalist. In the seventieth she was a militant political and remained detained and disappeared from 1977 to 1979 in a clandestine detention center of the Airforce and in the ESMA. She exiled to New York in 1981 and returned to Argentina in 1984.

Nilda Actis Goretta (Munú)
Munú was a militant with the Peronist Youth (JP) and Montoneros. She was detained on June 19th of 1978 in Buenos Aires and was held in the Navy Mechanics School (ESMA) until July of 1979. She lived in exile in Venezuela until 1984 when she returned to Argentina. Her husband, Enrique Tomás Antonio de Simone (“Peter”), was kidnapped on November 22nd of 1976 in the city of La Plata and is still disappeared. Munú is a plastic artist.

Ricardo Coquet
Ricardo Coquet is 53 years old. In 1973 he became a member of the University Peronist Youth (JP) of Medicine Faculty (University of Buenos Aires). In 1974 he started his militancy at JTP (Peronist Youth Workers) and in 1977 he joined "GEC" (Special Groups of Battle of the Guerrilleros Urbanos organization). On May 10 of 1977 He was kidnapped and remain disappeared at ESMA (Navy Mechanics School) until principles of December of 1978.

Susana Jorgelina Ramus
Susana was a militant with Montoneros, and is a survivor of the clandestine detention center at the Navy Mechanics School (ESMA), where she was held from January of 1977 to January of 1979. Previously she had suffered the disappearence of her partner, Jorge Muneta. Susana is a sociologist and mother of a girl whose father, Marcelo Cerviño, also disappeared. Her brother, Carlos Ramus, founder of Montoneros, died in 1970.
